Best NHL Moment ever?
What is, in your opinion, the best NHL moment ever? Or at least in your memory?

I'd say Bourque hoisting in 2001. Everyone wanted to see that happen.

I was in the Northland Coliseum watching that happen. We gave him a 5 minute ovation when he scored that goal.

I can't remember exactly who it was. I'm thinking Chris Pronger a couple of years ago when he hoisted the cup and he blurts out Fuck this thing is heavy. Then he took it home and let his kids eat cereal out of it.

For me it's probably either in salt lake when sakic sped down the right wing and passed the puck to center where lemeuix was in the rush and winding up for a slapshot. The goalie (richter?) was ready for the shot, but lemeiux didn't move and let the puck trickle between his legs to iginla who scored on the open net. Greatest play of all time and Mario didn't even touch the puck.

Or, when Gretzky scored his last career hatrick. It was against Vancouver and for one goal he dipsy-dooed around 2 defenceman, a forward and a goalie. When the puck went in the net there 4 Canucks laying on the ice and he had the empty net. The stadium cheered because even though it was a goal against, it was one of the most beautiful single efforts in hockey.

That was an amazing goal. I remember the bar erupting when it happened. One of my best experiences watching hockey on TV for sure.
