Restoring polished aluminum finish?
I have a polished aluminum (chrome) frame from Scott. Over the last year it's lost it's shine a touch. Any way to brink back that sparkle?

aluminum polish + elbow grease
my brother used to have a polished Bullit, 1/2 an hour every couple of months and it looked brand new.

If it is raw aluminum that is polished, then use either Mothers aluminum polish or Autosol. You can get both at Lordco or Canadain Tire.
Both of these are mild abrasives that remove oxidation and help to bring a mirror like shine to bare aluminum. Use elbow grease and or a power buffer to get the shine back. ![]() ![]() I used Autosol to do this a few years ago

Best polish <<Mothers>> Yup C tire. Could replace the elbow grease with a dremel polisher. Together with the Mothers it would be a quick job

hire my better half with a case of beer (if she's interested). she did a great job on my heckler! She's got some Finish Line polishes that worked great.

^ if your frame is coated (clearcoat over polish) some good ol fashioned furniture polish will do the trick. watch out for overspray on grips, pedal, seat, tires. |
