Iron Horse bought by Dorel....
http://www.singletrackworld.com/2009...ught-by-dorel/
"You may remember a while ago Iron Horse went into liquidation after three far eastern manufacturers filed an involuntary petition against Iron Horse for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection to recoup their $5 million losses. The full details of the story can be read here: http://www.bicycleretailer.com/news/...tail/2543.html. It has now been announced that Iron Horse has been purchased by Pacific Cycles, which is owned by Dorel; which owns Cannondale, GT, Schwinn as part of the Sport and Leisure empire. The bidding went back and forth over a 6 hour period, with various interested parties including Outdoor Cycle Group, a company owned by the son of Iron Horse president Cliff Weidberg. Dave Weagle, who famously designed the DW link used on Iron Horse range of world cup winning Sunday bikes is also pursuing litigation against Iron Horse. This responsibility will now fall into Dorel hands. Future Iron Horse 2010 models were rumoured to have the Ellsworth designed ITC link. No announcements have been made regarding their future designs. Further news regarding the acquisition can be found here: http://www.bicycleretailer.com/news/...tail/2931.html " |

I just hope that i can get my hands on a 2009 sunday elite, it's a 7 point on steroids, looks awesome and they even steepened the head angle from the remaining sunday line to make it more FR and less DH.

Dorel might be keeping up production on replacement parts and small machine shops throughout the US have been making spare parts for the Sundays. Those bikes are all over the US. I know that North Shore billet is making replacement derailleur hangers for IH (got some for my 7 point) they might be convinced to machine parts for the Sunday frames as well.

BETD here in the UK (a bike specific engineering company, who sell a range of parts like high-end hubs under the "Goldtec" brand) will be making any parts that are required they make loads of mech hanger, rockers, pivot hardware and other random bits for obsolete bikes
