Good Luck Testes.

good luck to all doing the Test tomorrow.

I'm in for a world of hurt. 2 laps of the demo forest last Sunday and a big lunch from Anton's today isn't exactly the best training regime.

Did a quick lap around UBC on the road bike tonight to "wake up" the legs. Hopefully it works ... it's been many, many months off my mtn bike. Please don't yell when you pass some spode walking the plunge ... that'll be me

Rode my first ToM today and it was awesome!

Took others advice to start at the back and bottlenecking wasn't too bad.

My favourite part was riding down the Plunge screaming at all the lycra clad, clipped in, super high seatpost people to move out of the way - must've passed 60 people in this section.

My training regime consisted of shuttling for the last 4 months. Oh, and I rode up to the Demo forest yesterday for the first time ever.

Grats to everyone who raced and a special huge thanks to all of the vollies and spectators for making my first Test really fun.

Oh, 5:00:23 - if only I hadn't spent 5mins talking and making out with the wife just before 9 mile....

meh. I think cory even beat Eric. But he's been training since Jan.
something like 3:51, but i was in my own little world when i crossed the line and didn't really notice my final time.

i know i lost a good ten minutes when all the muscles in both my legs seized half way up nine mile. i was waiting for connor to roll by but i guess he was pretty far behind at that point.

Training? Does buying new wheels count as training?

3:56 according to the computer. Lots left in the tank on the climbs ...

Second time riding my mtn bike since I broke my hip 8 mos ago ... and the first time was last weekend. Admittedly, I have been riding my road bike lots though.

Personal best for me of 4:36. I am astounded at how slow and timid most of the people are on the plunge... at least around my time bracket. I mean, they probably live in the gvrd yet they're technically inept. tsk tsk.

Also tons of bottlenecking earlier on the singletrack climb up to the first major summit (forget name.) Its frustrating being an ok climber and being fast on the DH. Hard to make up any time whatsoever. Great temperature for racing though.

yeah for sure.

I was riding my Remedy, with a 2-Step, and just plowing through people that couldn't make the switchback corners..

next year I'd definetly try to get out a little faster, and not flat..

and I'd claim right around 4hrs..

I had a great race. In 3 previous attempts I could not break 4 hours. This year 3:35.

graham - a 25 min improvement under the 4 hour mark is something else. Now all you have to do is repeat next year and year after that

The downhill is not how the Test is won, obviously, so if you're frustrated by the riders in front of you when it comes to the downhill sections, learn to climb.
