WTB SpeedDisc All Mountain?

Anyone have experience on these? North Shore XC/AM useage for a 210lb rider looking for a light-ish wheelset? How about the WTB Laserdisc Trail? Cannot find much on here about either wheelset.

http://www.wtb.com/products/wheels/rims/allmountain/

Thanks in advance!

I ran a pair of Laserdisk Trail rims last year and they were great. Built them up to some DMR hubs and it was a great combination of not too heavy and light on the budget.

I rode everything on them, they were on my Covert with a Lyric, I am about 175 lbs. I will say I am not hard on wheels. I don't case things badly and I don't plow thru chunder like a dump truck.

I'll be building up another pair sometime soon, likely to WTB hubs.

Gear Shots article here.

I'm 220+ lbs. soaking wet, and they're still running well.

Another review of the laserdisc trail:
http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/ca...elset-09-34687

Edit: After having read that review, i think they reviewed the wrong wheelset. Picture and description doesn't match the Laserdisc trail in the Gear shots article.

I've been beating on a Laserdisc FR for a little while and I'm impressed, its holding up really well as a rear DH rim despite bottoming it a few times. Still perfectly true.

I know its a different rim but its a similar design overall and not too far off in terms of weight/size. I'd probably go for the Trail over the Speeddisc

oh yeah, the GBS bead channel on the Laserdiscs can make make bead-seating a little tougher but it might also work well with tubeless. Peopls say the bead stays in there even if you're riding a flat tire
