WORCA 2009 Bike Swap! This weekend in Whistler!!!

WORCA ANNUAL BIKE SWAP is being held this Saturday, May 2nd in Whistler, BC.

The annual event is hosted by the Whistler Off Road Cycling Association and is a fundraiser to help us pay for our Youth Programs. Come on out and pick up a new (to you) ride or sell your used gear for some cash to put towards this years new rig! Check out a huge assortment of pre-loved bikes, bike parts, clothing and more!

Here are the details:
Where? Creekside Base in Whistler
When? 10am-3pm

Selling a bike?
Drop off your bike between 8:30 and 10am at the base of Creekside. $2 per tag. Commission: 15% on items $999 and under, 10% on items $1000 and over. Remember, all proceeds go to a great cause: youth mountain biking in the Whistler valley! Unsold items can be picked up between 3-4pm. Any items not picked up before 4pm become the property of WORCA.
Payout for sold items will be on Sunday, May 3rd from 12pm-3pm. Location TBA. Please note that all payouts will be in the form of post-dated cheques dated Wednesday, May the 6th. This will give our bank a chance to catch up with Saturday

you could have gotten anything at that swap, XC racers, cruisers, BMX, Kids bikes, DH sleds, all mountain bikes, DJ HTs, female specific rides, road bikes and 29ers, and parts too, forks, drivetrains, shitload of tires...nice job WORCA...

I was pretty surprised how popular it was. I got there 15 mins after it opened, and the place was so packed that it was hard to move around.

I was happy I didn't stay too long because I likely would have been tempted to impulse buy!

it was a long day, super proud of all the vollies and board members for all their hard work.....not sure one final numbers yet, but was stoked to see so many people finding good deals....thanks for coming out everyone!

that would be me....although it's not a playoff beard, since I couldn't care less about hockey....it's more a, end of winter been too lazy to shave it off beard....that and everytime I tell the ladies I'm thinking about shaving it off, they say it looks good and I shouldn't, so I don't.....
