Yo,
After being in Vancouver for almost a year, and with residency on the way, I have decided it is about time to treat myself to a pickup....yup, livin the dream! ![]() Planning to use the truck for shuttling, roadtrips to interior etc and boarding in the winter.Budget is a maximum of $15,000 and really want to try for 4x4 and 4 doors. Current shortlist: Tacoma (ideal) - Might be tough to get a newer model with budget. SportTrac - Nice truck, concerned about short bed F150 - Current favourite for budget and features Any advice/experience/recommendations/useful comments most welcome!! Cheers. |

Tacoma, Fuel mileage of a fuel size in a mid size truck.
SportTrac, mom's grocery truck. I'd look at the F-150, Ram 1500, Silverado/Sierra 1500 or the Tundra. |

Maybe an older one. I've got a 2000 and it's fine.
Tacoma FTW. You should be able to find one in Vancouver for about that, if you're willing to go for the slightly older body style. There's a small dealership north of the Trans Canada on Brunette, on the West side of the street, they sometimes bring Tacomas in from the US. Much better deal than the dealerships and some of the used car lots. |

Nothing wrong with a Ford or Chev really...Dodges are horrible on fuel. Noticeably worse.
If you want a Tacoma...just get the best deal you find at $15. (the older body looks way better anyways) |

older Tacoma is a good truck but finding a 4 door will be fun, Frontier is the same issue.. newer model 4 doors are easy to find but your looking at more like 20k

From '05 on you can get stick in the 4x4 doublecab but that's way more truck than I would ever need or want. |
