Remedy setup info

So I've had about four rides on my 08' remedy 7 and am still trying to find a suitable suspension setup.

Mostly the rear is being a bugger. It feels like it is fairly rough/stiff over the chattery stuff but then might be a bit too soft (blows through travel fast) on the hard landings although it hasn't bottomed out. Also I am having a hard time getting the rebound right.

Can I get some other peoples settings on their Remedys. So far I am at 30mm sag/8-10 clicks of rebound on the Lyrik and 15-17mm of sag 2-4 clicks of rebound on the RP2. I would post the actual pressure I run but it seems to be nowhere near what Trek recommends to get the correct sag.

Have the rides been long enough for the suspension to fully break in? I've just reached about 20hrs. on mine and it's def. starting to feel better.

I've have also been riding the factory suggested settings during breaking-in.

185lbs. w/gear.

Shock:
170psi gets me just over 25% sag.
5 clicks of rebound

Fork:
I don't know, ask Fox's warranty department . Upgraded to Talas 36 and the Talas III cartridge wouldn't lock into the 100mm setting. Great fork, but we'll see how the warranty experience goes...

Welcome to the wonderful world of air-sprung suspension. After a year of riding my DHX air, I've finally worked it in enough to get that sweet spot of smooth small bump combined with medium to large hits. Big drops are a no-no.

Well, if it hasn't bottomed out then it doesn't sound like its set up too soft. You should be getting full travel on the harder hits.. I test rode a Remedy 8 from my shop and I am 230lbs with gear and never had a problem with bottoming... the Remedy 8 uses the RP23 air shock, but that shouldn't make too much of a difference....

If the shop did not set the bike up using these guidelines, then this is a start:

Thanks. I actually have that already. I found that for the rear I need to run like 10psi lower in the rear to get the recommended 30% sag so that's partly why I was asking for other setup info. Same goes for the Lyrik although I'm going by what's printed on the fork since Trek doesn't have the Solo AIR model on the PDF.

A good point was brought up though that the fork and shock may not be fully broken in yet.
