OK.....I'll go first
I got lured in by chainlove and will now be riding this thing and my STD for '09. Am actually pretty smitten with this thing after building her this weekend but can't ride it until Wednesday due to a visit to Mr. Vasectomy Doctor.......

but I did want to address your questions. Let me start by saying I am a complete wuss. Basically, I sat on the table for about 20 minutes with my eyes closed, chit chatting with the doc and trying to forget about what was actually going on down there. I took Valium before so that helped a ton. He did the standard poke a hole in each sac and cut the tube procedure.

I had the operation at 4PM on Thursday, went home and sat on couch with frozen peas on my crotch until 9PM, then went out to the garage to start building the SS and drink beer....stayed out there until 2AM. Repeated the same thing the following night.....I haven't drank that much beer in God knows how long......it was awesome......drinking beer and building a bike is about as good as it gets for me. I went out to my garage last night to clean the place up of all the boxes and packaging and such from all the parts I had purchased, and as I got all that stuff picked up, I noticed three slightly bloody gauze bandages laying on the floor.......made me laugh as they obviously fell out of my underwear in my drunken bike building post-vasectomy haze......yes, I was building the thing in my underwear.

Anyway, I have taken this thread way too far off topic, and for that I apologize. Bottom line, it wasn't bad and I can't wait to take the SS for her first spin on Wednesday.

thanks for the explicit heads up. i will use this as a justification (if futile) for the purchase of a new bike for the purpose of recovery. if that fails, justification for beer drinking will suffice.
