Thor Impact Rig armour
Been looking at armour lately. I've been racing a few seasons only wearing knee pads. after a few close calls, I need to get something.
$350 for Dianese is a tough pill to swallow on a students racing budget. been looking around, and like how the Thor is fairly low profile, and still looks like it would work. I don't want elbow/forearm pads. (I get huge arm pump no matter how loose) ![]() http://www.sicklines.com/reviews/thor-impact-rig/ I went around to a few moto shops in Coquitlam today with no luck.(Carter motorsports, and Checkpoint Yamaha) I'd like to try it on before I make any decisions. Has anybody tried this one on before, or has anyone seen it in any shops in the lower mainland. BTW: I have tried on both the TLD and 661 and I don't like either. Cheers. |

i think you're looking at the wrong crowd, thor is motorcycle/dirtbike company is it not? you're best bet is to try on new 661 or anyother brand at a bike shop, or phone up sportbike shops.

Try CR Cycles in Maple Ridge. They're on Dewdney at 228th.

I have a 661 assult presure suit. Love it, but i use it for just free riding. I have an older one that doesn't have a hard spine. But looking at the 2008 it does. Good thing it is short sleeve so if you don't want arm pumping it is good. Also good price.
If you do go try arm guards i use some MACE ones that fit perfectly. |

check out the dainese multisport jacket... it's a lighter weight/less restrictive upper body jacket that covers off what you need - spine, shoulders, elbows, chest... haven't used it yet but it's on the way and came pretty highly recommended... used in skiing and other sports as well... i found one online cheap from a skiing shop - www.the-raceplace.com...

Darryl, stop buy overtime if you get a chance and try the mace swat jacket. Im not a fan of upper body armour but this stuff feels really good. Its a full mesh setup, with sturdy chest and spine. The shoulders work well aswell. Ive tested mine out pretty good.
Just take some sissors and cut the forarms off. The ones at overtime are also the 1 peice chest with the zip that doesnt go down the middle, so it protects your sternum.. I think they were around 100 bucks.
