If accepted, renders the UN as useless since Kosovo is bypassing the UN and appealing to countries directly. And if it stands, sets a precedent that allows every ethnic separatist movement the right to declare independence. More bloodshed in places like East Timor and gives power to those who did not consider it before. Gives the Sikhs more argument to fight against India, ethnic minorities in China and the Philippines and many many other places causing destability.

Heck, if you got enough Spanish together in California you could argue "SoCal" and parts of Texas as in independent country. Overall a boneheaded move which could have been prevented if the EU and UN had it's act together. Just more trouble in the world today...

Everyone just needs to settle down and smoke a few...

I've been following the kosovo movement for years and it doesn't even write the proper story.
