building trannies?

i have a 6 or 7 footer to a nearly flat landing, and it wouldn't be any fun even with 7" of travel. How do i go about building a nice tranny about 1-1.5' tall and about 7' long? i have dirt, but i've seen trannies with sides made out of wood, wooden trannies, all dirt trannies, dug out trannies, dirt and rock trannies, rock trannies....you get the picture. i've made one tranny before but it wasn't very spectacular. any tips would be useful. thanks

i make mine out of logs all around to make a frame. then use big sticks to stake them upright. then i fill most of it with rocks (its easiwr than shoveling firt for 5 days) and just put the top layer with dirt. let her pack down and shes ready to go!

pile rocks and logs (horz ways) and put dirt ontop. Make it like 3-4 feet tall tho, steeper trannies rule, they shoot you out so you can launch sumthin nice

1' x 7' isn't a tranny. Thats a flat landing.

Dig a hole if you have to. Steepen that sucker up.

Make sure there's a lot of dirt, because it will compact.

If you have nsx 6, watch the "digger diggin it" special features, because he does them right fo sho.

b-man......what you've seen is "filler". Logs, rocks and stuff fill most of the volume so you don't have to bring over so much dirt
On the sides? That's one way to contain the filler aswell.
The top of your tranny should be at least 2ft high though.
