Q for people with $250+ montly cell phone plans
So I pay about $270 a month for my Telus Cell phone plan.
I'm so pissed with the way they have treated me. I made the mistake for signing on for 2 years. Never again! the minute they know they have you they don't give a shit about service. Anyhow it looks like I am going to leave them, cost $140...idiots, I'm going to leave cause they can't provide me with a better deal on a new phone then someone that pays $100 a month. they say they can but I need to sign on for 3 years! f.y. as if... so I can get no service for 3 more years. can any body reccomend Bell or Rogers? or do they suck as well. |

1. Bell - my bro had them. switched to telus.
2. Telus - my dad and bro have telus. both want to switch to rogers when contracts expire. shitty customer service and shitty reception where we are. 3. Rogers - been with them since '98. have no real complaints when compared to the bullshit ive seen with bell and telus. if you are a van local can you still get city fido?? |

What sort of services do you get for $270 a month? I would expect blowjobs at the touch of a button, but hey, that's just me.

I'm on the other end of the plan scale from you, but I also hated telus's service and pricing. Much happier at Rogers, but looking lustfully at fido when my contract is up.

I hated telus with a passion but they had me by the balls. then number portability freed me. i spent 600 bucks to break my renewly renewed 3 year contract with them and saved that and more in my first city fido month
my average telus bill was 1200 my fido bills are 250, even every time

I have a single account with Rogers with two phones on it, Pay between $150-250 a month. I dunked my Razr (Biggest P.O.S. ever!!) into Little Tribune. Figured that I would be able to re-new my account and get a better phone. I ended up getting the new sony cost with renewal savings $295.99 cost to buy the phone out right without a new contract $307.00, I've given them thousands of dollars over the years and only qualified for $12 off a new phone..... Dicks.

"Shitty Fido"?
As a loyal Fido customer for 10 years, I was happy to show them the door as soon as # portability was a reality. In the 6 months leading up to April 2007, their services eroded, they closed branches, they actually made it more difficult to pay my bill, and screwed up a half dozen things. Based on my informal polls of several friends, I'm with Rogers now. Best pirate on a ship load of pirates. Kn.

same, only with Telus/Clearnet/Nextel..(stupid PTT technology)......maybe $150 a month on a busy month...........Telus isnt horrible for us, but they seemingly always have a new "special package" every time we mention we'll pull the company and move to another provider

Pardon my french, fuck Rogers. Hidden fees, uber shitty service. I can't possibly see how Rogers is any better than any other company. If they're all this bad, I might have to give up owning a phone.
One pet peeve about the whole mobile phone industry is the fact that they have snotty teenagers working at their retail outlets who are about as useful as third party natural gas salespeople. I've ranted about this before but... My phone dies a little over a year into my 3 year contract. Go see one of the teens at Rogers. My options are: 1) Pay for a new phone or $200 to fix my current shitty phone (where did that number come from?). 2) Sign yet another 3 year contract. 3) Pay $200 to cancel my contract. Because my phone died prematurely, I am forced into paying a rediculous amount of money to have a newer shitty phone. Cell phone manufacturers, why can't you make a phone that can last the length of your service provider's contract? Service providers, why can't you make a contract for a year (as long as the phone's warranty)? Or at least, give the user an option to get out of the contract because they don't have a working phone? Doesn't this make sense? |

Here's a hint, don't sign a contract, I've been without one for 10+ years
