Isn't the point of buying a specific product for a specific purpose from a reputable company, is that it does the job properly without having to employ half-ass workarounds. FFS, its just a big piece of material and faults like this should have been ironed out by the time the commissioned the second batch...

How hard can it be????

Ya but think of the air deflection over the cab and handle bars, that extra drag couldnt be worth it....

Joking or serious? Can't tell. I don't think the great gas mileage of a full sized truck would be hindered much by a bicycle handlebar poking up above the cab.

This is so true here on Maui. I think 80% of them you see on trucks are for SUP's, the trucks are usually empty though so it's more like a giant bumper sticker. I take mine off when no bikes. And I saw someone the other day who had the front wheels/forks hanging on a track rack ala NSR and the rear wheels were resting against the pad/tailgate.

^Pretty sure FCS or some company make a single surfboard tailgate pad. The dakine one would work better for multiple boards

Makes no sense to me why you would cover the entire tailgate when all you need is a pad along the top. More affirmation that it's just a giant padded bumper sticker.

Have you ever seen a fork lower and a truck tailgate after they have been rubbing against each other for a day of shuttling?

Pretty hard to "ffs...ride your bikes" when your fork lower is worn half way through and your axle clamp bolts are sheared off from rubbing a 4 inch hole in your tailgate.

But yah. You guys are so hardcore bro.
