Like Sharon said, Oyama makes really good ones (all of their other sausages are also delicious) or check out Beer Brats - each of their sausages is made with a local beer. Their Franks are delicious.

Oyama is sofa king rad. Get some Guanciale next time you are there. Air cured pig jowls. so fatty, awesome in pasta, soup - makes bacon seem like baby food.

They do all the meats at the German Christmas market in Vancouver. Very yummy and super friendly. The butcher told me I was a good German's wife for buying him good sausages.

1. it's Wiener, not Weiner
2. it's either a german sausage, then it's called Frankfurter
3. or you want to call it Wiener, then it's a austrian sausage, as it refers to the kind they make in Wien (Vienna)

Agree with Sharon, Oyama is fantastic, but getting to granville island doesn't happen all that often.

For local North Vancouver, I was really impressed with the butcher in Lynn Valley mall... good selection, and very tasty sausages (try the boerewors - south african sausage, was super tasty)

Nope that is Black Forest Meat and Sausage, 3P is in the Wendy's plaza, beside the St'Johns Ambulance place.

BFM & S are directly across from Crappy Tire exit. Apparently they do awesome lunch sandwiches, there was quite the crowd there at lunchtime.

By far the best Weisswurst I have ever had, they even walked me through the how-to cook them properly, which to the hubby's disappointment I did not follow

They have a store front in Steveston, They are all made on Main St in Vancouver. Main and Broadway. They have been suppling local resturants like Hawksworth etc for years

Tried this mob - weiners were great, as was the weisswurst. Turns out they have a shop at Park Royal which has retail trading hours, so a bit easier to get to. Thanks!
