Valley Granfondo

I'm looking at doing the valley granfondo but I have not ridden in the area. Does anyone know how the climb up Sumas Mountain compares to the climb up Burnaby Mountain?

Steep but only 3 KM

When you head north from the flats (km95) you go up a steep hill at km96 get to catch your breath on a flat area for a couple of minutes while you get ready for the big hill (96.5 to 98 ). The sign at the top of the hill for the benefit of trucks going down says 12% grade. That means up to 12%. I average about 10kph as I make my way up the hill. Some of the local riders include this hill in their training loops.
