World Cup vs. World Championship
A lot of sports have two distinct "champions," one who dominates the year's events consistently, and one who wins the one-day event. Both are worthy of recognition. Let's give Danny some credit. He won on the one day with the most pressure, the day you have to win. There're no points for second, and the next world championship is a year away. And everyone else is trying to win it on the same day.
Danny deserves recognition for winning the highest-pressure event when the most was on the line. And Aaron deserves recognition for consistently dominating the sport from race to race. That's championship material too, but a slightly different kind of championship. He may well dominate again despite not winning the first race, but in the world championships you don't have the luxury of not winning the first race because there is only one race.
