2009 Fox 40

Looking at a 2009 fox 40 fork and just wondering if there's anything to look out for or is there any known problems with that year of fork.
Thanks

Fox forks are solid throughout the years but I would get James at SuspensionWerx to give it a once over if you get it. He'll have it running as good as an 2012.

thumbs up

I believe the 2009 got the world cup tune i.e. better slow and high speed compression. It's the 2008 and earlier that would not be as desireable. I agree with taking it James too.

I wore marks into the sanctions of mine. It also puked oil more often than I would have wanted. I bought low friction seals for it which were supposed to make all the difference, and then got a good deal on a Boxxer so I didn't end up trying the seals out. The fork felt good to ride for the season and a half that I ran it though.

My 40 has a super long steertube and is still hanging on my wall if you want to buy it. I forgot about it until now. I'm quite the salesman .
