My old jetta had a lag, let alone no boost. It felt like i was running out of gas let alone a lack of boost. It turned out to be electrical, and it was interfering with the fuel injection. Literally a loose connection/wire.
Get some one to check the electrical system and harness connections.

Why do they put threaded caps on tubes of loctite?
