For posterity: Got the bike back yesterday. I was waiting a quite a while, wanting and waiting to switch some parts from stolen bike to new bike, and after contacting them again, with some urgency in my mail, they obliged. Gotta say they were great to deal with. Other than the fact I had to wait so long - I'm guessing it's not entirely the RCMP's doing. My consolation is the guy who stole it, or at least had it, has been in jail the whole duration. He's the same guy that ran bike return scam and they're expecting him to do time after the trial. If only I could kick him in the nuts, that would polish off the process nicely. Back to riding bikes...thanks to you all seeing and knowing nsmbers.
