I'll bet this clown's wife and family are really happy with the attention he's getting. My guess is the neighbours are looking at him a bit differently too.

Wonder how he explains this at work?

Many. Several of whom are actual friends if not acquaintances. I see music as an art though, and albeit both can be contested as "effective healthy 'outlets' for youth (or any demographic for that matter)", I see the hockey bit a tad unnerving.

Perhaps a quick explanation. I always got a kick out of the intermission interviews - ever since I was a kid - whenever I actually had the patience to watch a game (for the record, haven't watched TV since '96, but that's another story). So anyway, ya, intermission interviews, what a blast - you got this sweaty, sport drink guzzling, highly remunerated individual who's diatribe is always something along the lines of:

"well ya know, ya, da guys were workin da corners hard and you know, trying to get da puck in the net. We came out wanting to move fast, take control, get the puck in the net, and you know, be hard behind and in front of the net, work da defense and get the puck in the net....."

I always feel so much better (almost enlightened) KNOWING that an individual, pro player from this game really drove home the essence of the sport - just in case I was too fuckin' stupid not to know - that it was all about, putting the puck in the net.

Not to worry, I'm the minority here, big time... I can't stand hockey but that's not for me to put on anyone else. I get it, I get spectator sports mentality, I can see why people dig it and that's cool - do what you dig man. It's solid. No qualms with any of it if that's what yer into. Just sayin'....

Then there is stuff like this:

You the shit
Yeah, baby you the bomb
Middle of the day
Give me what I want
It feels so special
It feels so good
And he ain't going no where even if he could
I got that ow, ow
You know what I'm talking about, 'bout
Make a nigga scream and shout, shout
Every time the lights go out, out
We out, out

You're pretty quick with the assumption rifle in that glass house of yours.

If I was CEO of life both hockey players and musicians would be making no more than $250k a year.

This was Ozzy at one of his lesser extremes. Just as an aside, it's his wife/manager Sharon who is responsible for his "public stupor" and "addled demeanor" when being interviewed or whenever it public. The guy's actually not hunchbacked, he barely stutters, he doesn't fidget, and doesn't look messed whatsoever when he's in the studio, or backstage setting up for a show. He's on it. May be hard to believe, but he's a professional, and what the general public has come to believe "is" Ozzy is far from it - it's just his schtick.

But it works, gets him tonnes of press and fits the "rock and roll god" image perfectly well.

Didnt Ozzy almost charge his Dr or Psych guy for prescribing the wrong medication that made him like that?

Publicity stunt. He never "was" or "is" like that - it's a front.
