yup that is pretty awesome, I always leave little rippers plenty of room
although that couldn't have been on the race weekend, when the line up went all the way back to that berm

2013 Season Passes on sale April 1 April 1 – May 31 It’s time to start thinking summer. The days are longer, the temperature is rising and the trails are starting to clear of snow (at least down the valley) and all that means ramping up for summer! Starting Monday April 1, Early Bird season passes will be on sale online at SEASON PASSES on our website. We are always excited about the coming summer here at Silver Star but the stoke level for this approaching summer is even higher than in the past and seems to be gaining momentum! So don’t wait, Early Bird runs from April 1 – May 31 and saves you up to $70 (on an adult season pass). Every week we are going to be drawing a name at random from those that have purchased their Early Bird Season Pass to win a prize from our good friends at Fox. The earlier you buy the more chances you have to win!!! Look for the announcement every Friday for FOX FRIDAYS on our Facebook and Twitter accounts. What’s new for 2013? The Bike Park is branching out a little bit this summer with the creation/reopening of a XC trail network south of the village located near our Nordic trail area. The goal is to have 2 loops developed for this summer and more building throughout the summer and in the future. This is a new project for Silver Star and will be continual work in progress and priority for the resort. A NEW trail is going to be started this summer! Cam has sworn me to secrecy about this trail but I have managed to get him to agree to let a little info out at this time to tease for the coming summer. It’s going to be a new blue trail….and it’s going to be called Jedi Mind Tricks! This summer the Silver Style slopestyle, the marquee event of the Freeride Festival August 30-September 1, is going to be sanctioned as a Freeride Mountain Bike Association (FMBA) bronze level event. That means it is part of the points system for the overall FMBA tour and will draw more athletes and bigger numbers which we are really excited about. Most exciting! BC Cup Series race is returning for more good times and racing July 27 & 28 and has also been awarded the BC Championships designation so you can expect that race weekend to be even bigger and better and again hosted by Director Of Good Times – Brett Tippie. We are also really excited to announce the Summer Wine Festival will be returning this year. August 9 & 10 you can expect wine masters dinners, seminars and of course the flagship event of the festival the outdoor tasting – The Mile High Wine Tasting with roughly 30 different wineries pouring in the village. New Camps – we’ve teamed up with a few new groups and are continuing some of our successful camps from last year. Matt Hunter and Thomas Vanderham are returning to host the Elevate Mtn Bike Camp for rippers aged 12-17 years old. As well we are hosting a women’s weekend camp with the Trek Dirt Series Mountain Bike Camps that is already filling up quickly – July 6 & 7.
