riding is 90% rider and 10% equipment. for some reason most mtb bikers have this backwards.

Agreed. And when you get to the upper end of that 90%, it's nice to be able to adjust your equipment they way you like it. I could pretty much ride anything, pretty much anywhere. However, I can tell the difference between a bike that I have set up the way I like, and one that isn't. Many people cannot, and I think those are the people that CTD is designed for.
