I haven't added all the trails for Whistler yet, but I have most the Westside trails which include some downhill trails. You can view the trails on the site in 3D Google Earth to get an idea of the slope.
http://www.trailforks.com/riding_areas/westside (mobile version)

Otherwise Whistler.com has most the valley trails mapped, just not a 3D view, but there is height graphs if you select a trail http://www.whistler.com/trails/bike/

There is also 2D map of the valley trails at http://trailcheck.in/

Since I don't drive, getting to Van is a bit problematic.
I'll definitely check out the shops for a map, thanks.
Fair enough. I find that Whistler Valley is best enjoyed on a bike you can pedal, 5-6" of travel is plenty.

Hey buds a fun one on a DH bike. I did half the toonies on my big bike while I didn't have a functioning little bike, it's still fun to ride all the xc stuff with some grunting/pushing

Trailmapps on the iphone is well worth the purchase. As well as http://www.whistlerbikeguide.com for trail descriptions (or buy the guide book).

But slugging a big bike around will have a lot of downsides. 5-6 inch pedally bike rules up there.

The bridge that crosses the little creek in the very last bit of Instant Gratification has been removed. Its now just a 5 foot across ditch with some gnarly looking rocks at the bottom. I threw a whole bunch of sticks in middle of trail about 15 feet before it, then a hefty log just in front. Hopefully people will see this and slow down.

if i or a buddy had of crashed there, i would have been straight to the front door. Love it when people who own vacation homes here bring their shit attitudes from Vancouver with them...

on that note though, please dont ride through peoples backyards to exit this trail. i had some friends do it the other day, massive face palm. The owner just needs to put a little wooden fence and this could all be solved.

This attitude is just as bad.

A buddy of mine who has lived in Whistler for a number of years now had an ongoing pissing match with an asshole neighbour...do think the neighbour was some "vacation home owner from the city" or a 25+ year Whistler "local"?

The jerk was a local. Every place has it's share of complete twats, Whistler is no different.

Rode these this morning before work, pretty rad, bit frosty and some of the rock was like ice but in good shape no mud

lost lake has lots of flow killing puddles if you dont want to get soaked. I found my lines were more about avoiding them rather than the roots etc...

pretty sure i got a boner on golden boner today. shit is just insane right now. all the roots are dry and non slippy, but the dirt is frozen tacky goodness. if you havent ridden the past few days you should get out there tomorrow morning while there is still a chance.
