An extra set or 2 of driving lights wired into the hi-beam switch are the shit when you are a road warrior in northern BC
Also drive in the middle of the road to give yourself more time to avoid unglets coming out of the ditch, they are on the move at dusk, scan the ditches for "eyes" not just the road in front of you and sometimes if you look down a series of roadside reflectors when one is suddenly blocked that is the clue there is something up ahead My 10 yrs on the road up there was some seriously scary shit, could have been killed a few times ... be careful out there Last edited by XXX_er; 10-20-2012 at 09:55 PM. |

Good start at Cypress so far with 4 to 6 inches of fresh snow this morning. Hiked up to Yew Lake & the lookout, making fresh tracks.

Rumour is that Cypress is trying to be open for Halloween. First time in history.
They are putting that Olympic snow making equipment to use.

I predict I'll be touring some higher elevations by mid-november. Tons of precipitation falling in the last 10 days, it's happening!

Early season touring gear is ready to go for this weekend on Mt McRae in Revy! Will report back as to conditions. Rumor has it 4-5 feet this week..
