So, I thought I'd do some stirring myself.

I only copy/pasted the most "important" "facts". Also, you are far more likely to be
killed by a cop by accident than killed by a terrorist. Hell, more Americans are killed
by cops each year than American soldiers are killed in Afghanistan.

*stir-stir*

http://actionamerica.org/guns/guns1.shtml (I had to delete some text)
257 out of 68,000 American troops killed in A-stan so far (year not yet over). That's nearly 1 in every 250. 330 Americans out of 300 million accidentally killed by cops. That's like 1 in a million.

Makes lots of points to promote his views. Nothing wrong with that. Lost of stats, but no primary sources of the stats. The ones that are relatively easy to check seem to be pulled out of an ass.

"Get this! In 1998, there were 723 persons killed by falling objects. Compare that to 866 gun related deaths. So, using the logic proposed by the anti-Second Amendment types, our lawmakers should require us to wear helmets at all times."

Stats say 12,000+ gun homicides a year (note, I'm posting a link). Canada's homicide rate is less than 1/2 the US.

http://www.cdc.gov/NCHS/data/nvsr/nvsr58/nvsr58_19.pdf

The same stats say 17000+ gun suicides in the US. Canada's suicide rate also lower than the US.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...y_suicide_rate

" ... burglars are more than three and a half times more likely to enter an occupied home in a gun control country than in the USA."

Wtf does that mean? Do they interview burglars worldwide who thought about breaking into places but changed their minds? Bottom line being it doesn't seem like gun ownership has much influence on burglary rates worldwide:

But, guns are good!

The 866 stat was how many Accidental gun deaths.

Why I find all this funny, is that anyone can make any stat sound good for them...until
there's an opposed viewpoint. This is true for the left and right. I think that's why the
Republicans just finally gave up on facts there on bullshit mountain.

Well considering one can't choose their family or parents with the grass always greener on the other side view point. Yes he would have and I would have been much happier with the mountain as my back yard. I say that with the "Grass Is Greener Over There" goggles on.

Back to the OP.... Sorry about the kaffufle, but hey, they were doing their job. If you were a perp and you did indeed steal a ride, the owner would be stoked the cops were doing their job. I know a lot of bike theft happens in the Mighty Whiz, so the odd "mistaken identity casualty" is fair game for the many they catch.

Shit happens. I'm glad to know they're putting the fear into the bottom feeders. Sounds to me like it was a minimum hassle affair. Least you didn't get taser'd, butt raped, and robbed.

Just sayin', could always be worse.
