^^^

where to take your less fit/experienced friends, its only a 2-3 hr climb/push from jewel bridge to here, probably among the best 5 minutes of riding around here

Yup! It was our first time in the area so we kept it simple. Definitely want to go back and check out some of the passes

Ripping down through that meadow was amazing

Climbing taylor to Windy pass is pretty classic, then out high trail and gun meadows/creek. Most people take about 8-10 hrs at a casual pace.
Or do it backwards but exit out lick creek instead of eldorado/Taylor, similar time.
Taylor to lick is a couple hours faster, as is ridge-o-rama.

Found it! Turns out it was in my riding shoes. Logical place to put it, I know

Hunting season is in full swing up there, now is the time to break out all of your bright colour riding clothes and make lots of noise while on the trail.

Well we got lost yesterday, real lost, before we even unpacked the bikes. Hike a bike up Lick Creek to the pass, and pack down. Wasn't ideal, but still an awesome day. beautiful area, cant wait to ride it properly next year.

We were 80% sure we were on the right road, not sure how much time it would take to find something else, lots of tire tracks, so off we went.
It wasnt our intention to go up a down trial, and on our way down we found what we now know would be the trail to take to Jewel Creek trailhead. However we did end up a lot higher than we thought we would which was good.

hoping maybe to sneak back one more time before the snow flies and do a more traditional route. If anyone is heading that way from Whistler or wants to, im in for sure (i'm also now much more prepared!)

Whats the best site for weather for the chilcotins? The tyax website seems to use snow-forecast which i dont trust enough to commit to driving 2.5 hours. TWN for Gold Bridge seems to be way off of what snow-forecast is saying as well.
