Hate to burst YOUR bubble, but cocky fuckers in this business usually end up changing oil for the duration of their careers.

So what grade did you get in on yours?

I finished up with 96% overall, and yes a bunch of the guys in my class barely passed as well. I'm not really sure what they were doing there.

If you're asking me, my ultimate goal is to work for a company that treats me fairly and provides me with a good shift schedule to allow me to travel more (as in ideally id like to work 3 weeks and then get 3 weeks off) that's my goal anyways if I cant quite reach it I'm sure I'll manage.

What I'll be working on isn't that big of a concern for me, I don't want to rule anything out as it all has it's up and down sides.

Tugs and small ships always looking for engineers. Far more than mates or captains.
Not sure if I want to go back in the e/r but if things don't pick up soon, that's the
next direction for me.

you looking for work?

Have you looked at the lakes? seems like work conditions are getting better out there. Some are offering month on/ month off and they pay for your flights.

I know a few guys that head back when things are slow and they get good sea time for it.
