Why is Executioner marked "Trail Closed" by DNV Parks?

Wanted to ride Executioner / DW loop on Tuesday Sept 25 and trail was signed closed by DNV Parks? Any ideas why?

Thanks.

Am unsure. Have a call into DNV, waiting on an answer. Saw the sign nailed into a cedar.

Bump to ensure this gets in front of some eyes.

I'll be stepping into Matt Bond's shoes and running this one for him.

Hope to see some people out. Yes it's a long weekend, but likely a few people going to be around. Come earn your turkey dinner by burning off some extra calories racing.

Nope - we have TAP signs for temporary closures.
Have verified with the DNV they did not close the trail.
Disappointing that people mess about with things like this, including nailing into a mature cedar.

Good on you Shirk. I think people really do want to see Toonies back on the shore and want them to grow. Work obligations have severely limited Wahm and my ability to keep doing them but I would hate to see something in its infancy fizzle out. It's been the historical story about racing on the shore. I hope the turnout for this one is huge and you can help keep them going for next year.

There are already a couple of us chatting about next year. Pretty excited to get more involved with it.

Hopefully we can spark some life back into local grassroots fun racing.

I also noted yesterday that mountain highway is closed due to winter conditions, according to a district sign at the first gate!

but it does appear they used correct signage techniques.

That sign is a TAP sign.
Thank you Peter Morin for removing.
