Bugs are non existent right now, slept sans tent under the stars Saturday night and it was awesome. Trails are really dry, but without vegetation along the trails you can actually see where you're going. Was so nice up there this weekend!

finally rode deer pass couple days ago, big day from jewel bridge, great ride.
saw a big wolf eating a deer in tyaughton creek right where WD trail pops out - nearly shit myself when he looked at me with his gnarly hate-fuck eyes and bloody snout. just when it occurred to me that i didn't know what to do, he turned and ran. needless to say, we made good time climbing tyaughton creek!

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to clarklewis again.

I'm pretty sure the wolf thought you were a grizzly and was outta there.

Amazing weekend dropping into Warner. Camped at Spruce and out Gun Creek. It was our first time into the area, but will definitely not be our last!

On another note, if anyone happens to find a GoPro somewhere along Gun Creek Road, I would be most appreciative to get it back. I'm almost positive it fell out of our van just west of Chilcotin Adventures ranch, right where an old decommissioned logging road joins the road from the north. I would very much like to get it back!

Well, I didn't see a GoPro, but I did pick up an un-opened bottle of Vodka (mini) just as we were leaving Hummingbird lake heading to Spruce Lake.

We dropped in to Lorna Saturday morning and climbed Lorna Pass, then up and over Deer pass, then down past Trigger, Hummingbird and finally to North end of Spruce for the night. Big day!

Mordax: What time was your Flight Saturday? We were originally scheduled for 7:30 and 8:30 flights, but got pushed back an hour... rrrr

We went out on the 7:30 flight, which actually departed closer to 8 as the plane was a bit late arriving. I wonder if they double booked that early plane... Sorry for any inconvenience!

Were you in the group arriving at Spruce after dark? We saw headlamps on the western shoreline from our camp. We chatted w/ some of your party on the way out of Gun Creek

Yup - that was us.

Took longer than we expected. All but one of us had lights, so it all worked out well.

Gun Creek Meadows rocks. I've ridden it twice now, and that whole trail From Spruce to Jewel creek is just too fantastic.

It does indeed! The whole trip was absolutely amazing for me (though riding w/ full overnight packs was a new experience for me, haha). We will definitely be going back!

On a side note, a local reported finding 'a camera' to Tyax Resort. They're checking to see if it's mine.
