Got a Chilcotin now! Borrowing bikes in Switzerland made for much easier baggage this time around!

Great photos, looks like an amazing trip.

Sharon - how do you think the Sight would fare as a Shore/do-it-all bike? I've had my eye on one but I'm not sure it's going to be quite burly enough...

Ahhhh zee joys of travelling. I have still not made it to Switzerland....yet. But am planning on doing next year, unless me missus wants to go to northern Sweden...again. Which would not be too bad, considering the riding around Are is awesome as well.

Anyways, sick pictures, nice little vid - you are living the life!

It would be pretty capable on most trails you'd ride a 140mm bike on.
I did find it flexy on high speed rough fire roads you sometimes have to ride here in Switzerland. Its also on the heavy side for a 140mm. It has a revelation on it which I really like.

If you want burly, I'd go 160mm. I'd put this more in the nimble category.

Our Third Swiss Riding destination was east of Visp - Jeizinen

http://www.leelau.net/sharonandlee/s...izinen-wallis/

I would recommend this loop for sure. There is a downhill mountain bike trail below the Jeizinen Gondola. There are other single track trails further east that you can find off the Wanderkarte. You can also get from Crans Montana to here… using the WanderKarte. This area also tends to be more dry, as its south facing and in a bit of a dry belt. Many Swiss come here early in the year as there is less snow, and later as the area is full of the fall Larch colours.
We stayed at the Pension Park Hotel and were fed VERY Well by Willi and Monica!

Jiezinen single track

Not a biking trail...

Great photos of an amazing area! My wife and I rode our tandem through Grindelwald (from Interlaken to Meiringen via the Grosse Scheidegg pass) on our way through the area a few years ago. Great memories!

Cheers Ben

Sud Tirol - East of Switzlerand and in Northern Italy! You may know them as the place where the Dolomites are.

300 days of sun and lots of trails!

http://www.leelau.net/sharonandlee/s...uneck-brunico/

From Bruneck/Brunico we took the Kornplatz gondola up and then we rode down

Then we climbed up

Then we rode down

Then we ate kasaknodel and drank heifeweizen

Not a bad start and much cheaper then switzerland.

Did I mention the food? Dinner at Hotel Innerhofer, Gais, near Bruneck
