if anything, it's good to see the failure mode wasn't catastrophic (ie, wheel exploding).

no i will not be repairing it because: a) i have no experience repairing carbon rims, or carbon anything for that matter; b) i have no time; c) these rims burp when set up tubeless so i plan to sell them. if the warranty doesn't apply then whoever buys the pair can try repairing it if they want.

i've got a million things on the go right now, will snap a photo when i have a minute later this week.
Were you able to finish the ride? Or was the wheel flimsy?

the wheel was still perfectly true and round, spokes still normally tensioned. it just didn't hold air, and then i got a second flat likely from the carbon fibers stabbing the tube. had to walk out to the road to find another tube and CO2 cartridge. i did finish, eventually.

we'll i decided to give it a go. 300 bucks, and the guys on mtbr have had decent luck with em.

Thought I'd post mine. 26" 3k wider laced up to I9 enduro hubs (20mm front, 142 x12 rear). Used the previous spokes as the i9 enduro rim has an erd 540 vs 536 for the LB rim. Close enough and threaded up real nice.

List of weights:

i9 wheel weights: f:833g r: 1030g

i9 rim weight: f:509g r:509g

i9 hub: f:198g r:383g

spokes: f:135g r:134g

carbon rim weights: f:374g r:378g

carbon wheel weights: f: 705g r: 892g

total i9: 1863g

total carbon: 1597g

heading out to whistler tomorrow. should be a good test. hopefully i don't eat shit.

Not sure what you mean by id, but I assume inner rim width. I've got tires on now so i can't measure, but the rim is 30 mm wide.

Picked up these ones:

right still stuck on bearings i bought today with the id thing. 23mm inner width would be an improvement. i keep burping air on my smaller wheels. i think this would help

Yup, used dhf and a new dhr. Gorilla taped em up with 2 scoops of stans, held air pretty much right away with compressed air at the gas station.

keep us posted on the durability.

You are the second person to give these a try; with the first having not so good luck (Clark).

I am very interested in the rims, but just can't quite trust what I have seen on the net so far.

Well. Rode vedder Saturday and whistler bike park today. Still straight and holding air

I'm loving them so far. The stiffness is quite noticeable in certain situations. I takes carbons rim to realize how flexy the old aluminium ones were. You expect the old feel, everything is so much snappier.

They definitely dampen a lot of the really high frequency vibrations as well. They help on the brake bumps, but higher frequency stuff you notice it on more, think ripping down a gravel road.
