I heard he consulted Cancellera's mech about installing the electric motor in the hub and BB.

pack that into all the nooks and crannies in the seal area. some stays there and pretty much eliminates stiction, and some gets worked into the lube oil to create ooey gooey lube goodness. a little tri-flow on the seals after each ride to work any crud up out of the wiper and you're golden. I went more than 6 months without dropping the lowers and things were sweet inside. granted I'm not riding the bike every day at whistler, but that stuff is the business.
How does this compare to slick honey? I do exactly the same procedure with the honey and have had great results with 3-6 month service intervals. Using the tri-flow works great to get the crud out, a little TLC with the BoXXers goes along way.

never used the slick honey. TBH the grease I use adds a little friction for the first ride while things are getting sorted out, but after that, butter.

Doesnt matter what bike it is tho. Anything running open to close 7 days a week will take a beating.. Plus having tourist riding and having no idea what they are doing bombing down the runs kicks the shit out of the bikes even more.

I remember years ago this fat guy sitting on a kona stab and just his body weight was bottoming out the bike. I really wish I could have seen what that bike was like after he rode the entire day

edit, just relized this is a old ass thread lol

Since this old ass thread is bumped, and I just read through it, why on earth would you put triflow on your dust seals when SRAM specifically recommend NOT to do that?
