Dub for sure.

I'd say follow Flip's route above, ride everything after Pura Vida out to Emerald. Then crash into Clarks backyard and steal his beer.

Yeah, that's more what I meant. The Binty's-Mel's is fun, flowy (comparatively), the emerald is going to be brutal when you are going into it tired. After that, it's a quick pedal along the road to get back into the Dub course.

3rd vote for Ala-mode to Emerald and then dub. Lots of fun riding and covers a good chunk of the event.

Anyone know of someone that wishes to give up their spot in the 4ks?

I was originally scheduled for BTAC this upcoming weekend, but now am not. Was always jealous when I couldn't attend for the 4 Jacks or 4 Queens. Might be my last chance to race this event.

Spanks.

put in a few laps of the dh course on my big bike in the park today. fuck that is gonna be rough on the little bike. buckets of fun though.

also could anyone decipher from the email whether the finish will be near the joyride junction or the whis DH junction?

right now im thinking a 2.5 3c single ply minion up front with a purg out back with the possibility of a between dh and xc tube in the rear.

Whatever tires you choose will be the wrong tires for half the event...

Given the way my health has been the last few weeks, I'm set for DFL. Still super excited though!

I did a massive pre-ride today, and feel like I got hit by a truck. The stumpjumper stood its ground but I got 'hand fade' midway down khyber and had to ride a lot slower than I'd prefer.

Yummy / foreplay plus parts of dub in the dark
Garbo to schleyer
Garbo to pedal up to top of world
Top of world to khyber
Both babylons
Fire road to business time (which is awesome!)
10km road spin back to car

~52km riding,~1500m climbing, 8 hrs moving time

Has there been any moisture up there? Did Whistler get any rain last week? Still dry as fuck?

None in the forecast. Thinking 60a HRII EXO instead of the 3c DHF EXO I have on the front.

We rode the correct DH course last night after doing it wrong all summer.

And yes it is still dry and dusty!

it did rain a bit last week, made very little difference, khyber was a bit moist saturday, wouldn't expect it to be by Sunday.

I just realized the GranFondo is on this weekend. Hopefully it doesn't affect any of you Kings! (don't plan on driving to or from Whistler in less than 5 hours on Saturday)

Have fun, I won't be heading up to watch.
