The trails seemed to be getting a touch dusty in spots on the weekend, but that bit of rain we had yesterday made for absolutely primo riding conditions last night. The new top section on Espresso is a blast.

Indeed. Went way too fast down pipeline. It was getting close to sunset and that was the quickest way down. Awesome traction though. You start thinkin' gee, I'm wearin a Styrofoam hat and skimpy gloves. Better not crash.

Meant to come in here and mention this. I had no idea that work had been done until I stumbled on it a few weeks ago. Awesome stuff! Huge props to everyone involved!

What's easier, Ladies or Pipeline?

Pipeline is way more random / chundery which is not an issue on a big bike, but on a small bike you can get thrown around quite a bit. Personally I find Ladies easier on my Chromag as the trail is smoother and the tricky bits more obvious, i.e. I know exactly when to get off and walk straight after Barts Bridge and the Heron Pond
Pipeline has randomly thrown me over the handlebar, but Ladies hasn't. So in terms of getting down the trail without injury, IMHO Ladies is easier

Hit Oilcan last night after not riding it in a year or so.... it is has some flow now! Stoked on Espresso too after going out to 2 trail days on it and now being able to rip all that new flowy gold, props digger. Executioner/Dreamweaver is also a rad lap as mentioned and on top of all this there's all the "other" trails to shred

The last time I rode Expresso was in August, and going back tonight the gold section seems to have doubled in length. Gorgeous!

Rode Expresso last night....first time since June.
Wow! What a blast. The newest section(s) was(were) awesome...lots of fun. What I really like about it is that it allows a couple of riders of differing abilities to ride the same trail & get the same amount of fun out of it. The daring/brave/experienced can tackle the skinnies & ramps, while the too young/too old/too new can go with the flowy bits....all within eyesight/earshot of one another. Taking my son up there this weekend. Thanks to all for the great trail work! |
