PD = Pile Driver. Not sure when he originally built it, it had been redone since he built it too.

If its down its probably because it fell apart

It was originally built in 2001 by Dave H not PD. It was done after the work Michelle did on Boogie. Rebuilt sometime in 2008.

It was a big day for me when I hit the PD for the first time. Maybe in 2006.
Once I knew I could do it, any time I could get down that chute and over that narrow bridge smoothly I knew I had to hit it every time.

I'd put money on it being there before 2001.

First time I rode the trail was 2000 and I can't remember if it was there or not. I don't think I looked up because I was sliding on my ass thinking that I was falling off the side of a cliff in that section. It definitely was there in 2001 when I started riding the trail regularly. I'm pretty sure that Michelle didn't start working on the trail until 2002 or later, that's when I used to see her a lot with her chainsaw building that gap jump in the flat section after the double A-frames. But maybe she was doing other things prior to that and I just didn't know.

I was one of the first to hit it up on my 2001 Norco Team DH. Dave had his 2000 Norco and it was a year old at the time.

Yeah I'd say 99-2000 for the first build.

Thanks, would be great to see that rebuilt. There were some rungs stacked up under the stump so I figured maybe it was to be rebuilt. The area looks really empty without the structure there.

good to know! That's why we need a good historical record of who is doing what!

PD and Michelle did do a lot of work on Boogieman, I don't know who dave H is, or maybe I know him by his bike...

Ive been racking my brains on this one and could swear it was earlier than 2001.

Do you or anyone still talk to PD?

I'll bet he'd know....or Greg (Bear) would know too....or Michelle.

2008 rebuild didn't replace the posts, which were rotted as hell. It was a hazard that was taken down to be rebuilt when labour volunteers itself.

I confirmed the date with the builder. PD or Michelle did not build the stunt. You need to let it go HT. PM me and I'll give you Daves number if you want.
