So, who's doing what races? Whats the scoop on the Fort Langley CX on Sept 2nd?

Fort Langley CX is a mountian biker's cx course, no pavement, some short but nice single track and one long run up.
I will try to make all of the races in the Lower Mainland and Bellingham. Starcrossed and USGP in Bend are also on the list.
I started 17 cx races last year, and finished every one, including the one that I ran for 2.5 laps because of a mechanical but I hate DNFs.

For me DFL always is better than DNF.

Abbotsford CX BC Cup (maybe, if I'm in town)
Starcrossed
Port Alberni CX on the Rock
Either MFG#4 in Seattle or BC CX Champs
Cascade CX "Cross Border Clash" 2-day event Nov 3-4
CX Nationals Steveston (if they have classes for Cat4!)
USGP Bend

If I get that many in this Fall, I will be amazed but pleased!

Or is this wrong? There really isn't a whole lot of cohesive info about CX events in BC (other than Cross on the Rock, who have a decent website).

EDIT: Just confirmed with CyclingBC - "This is an actual race as part of the Supercross Week-end. More info to come!"

My build kit arrived via eBay today. Planet x frame is enroute. Now I just need this damn broken wrist to heal up.

Wow, cycling bc bugs me. Only listing the bc cup races is total bullshit. There is a aldor acres, new Brighton, Barry's pumpkin cross. Plus all of the cross on the rock stuff. They sell the insurance for the races, so they should damn well publicize them.

Oh well, at least the first practice race is next week on the 22nd at Jericho Park at 6:45. Time to get my knobbies on. Woot woot!!!!!!!

tips from the bikesnob..

B) Freds everywhere are beginning to prepare for cyclocross season.

Cyclocross varies from region to region, but if you want to try it New York City Fred style here's how:

--Order 19 skinsuits
--Have your coach provide you with a custom-tailored bespoke cyclocross-specific training program
--Get your crabon race bike and your crabon pit bike professionally tuned up, even though you barely touched them last season, and also have the mechanic re-glue the six pairs of tubular race wheels you never used
--Attend a cyclocross clinic at which you determine you now need disc brakes in order to be competitive
--Upgrade or replace bike fleet accordingly (and don't forget that Powertap disc hub!)
--Go to one (1) race, in which you get lapped because "your disc brakes were rubbing"
--Return bikes to co-op bike room and congratulate yourself on yet another successful cyclocross campaign.
