Norco's 2013 650B Range and Sight – Ride Impressions and Photos
I got to spend a day with Norco's new 650B production models this week. Conclusion: they ride like bikes.
More to the story with shots here...

range looks / sounds awesome. methinks 30lbs is a wee bit optimistic though.

I think these bikes look awesome. Is this a revised DHXA? Why why why the Fox 34?

Having spent some time on a 2012 Sight 1 for review, I have to say that the Clutch is the best thing to happen to bikes since the dropper post. Quiet, minimal chain drop, and no noticeable drag. The XTR was stupid expensive, so I'm quite excited that the trickle down made it all the way to SLX this year.

Boom I had a similar concern to yours. That said I've ridden the 34 on two different bikes with 650b wheels and was impressed with the forks stiffness and trail performance. I'd love to see a Marzocchi 650b 55, but I think the 34 will do for me until that product is released.

Fork question for @boomforeal
What do you mean by "a 650 compatible fork like a 36 or a totem"? Are those chassis made for 650? I thought the FOX 34 was their only 650 fork.

I think the stock 36 and Totems have enough clearance under the arch to run 650B wheels.

ja thats bass aackward.... fox dhx air and a 34... fox is pushing 34 hard though, you should know the discounting of the 34 to BMF is fair bit less than the 36... and thats why you also see spec putting it on their enduro and other places you don't expect it... 2014 I predict we are back to 36's.

Well, after reading
http://www.bikerumor.com/2012/08/15/...he-650b-range/ and http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Norco-R...Ride-2013.html I think I'll wait. The bikes look amazing and well-spec'd. Indeed exactly as I like 'em. But the initial articles don't suggest enough benefits from the wheels alone to justify a new bike. I think I'll wait. These will be a great choice when I'm due to buy in a year or so.
