Sad we missed out on Revy this year. The selection of trails is excellent!

Let's assume, for the sake of argument, that one has an afternoon in Revy.

If you had to chose one iconic Revelstoke ride to do, what would you do?

what Sharon said

unless you're a bit more DH-or-gravity-inclined in which case Martha Creek is teh awesomez

FR has the better views, MC just has views on the shuttle up and from the top drop in and first 1/3 of the trail as you traverse acros then the first drop down

and if you are on a 5"+ bike, hit the FR DH trail afterwards for extra fun, you're there so you might as well hit it up

Thanks guys; that's what I thought, glad I've got advice from pros.

I'll be on a 6" travel bike in flats. How brutal will the climb be?

if you're good at climbing with flats you'll do fine. The climb up frisby is steady.

So we have 10 days of nothing to do in the Kootenays coming up. Not sure if our low slung Subaru could shuttle anything. Is there a shuttle outfit nearby?

What else to hit in Revy? Nearby?

you'll make it to the mid point on Martha Creek. directions are on the Revy Cycling Assc site. just don't drive too far in on the FSR as there's a few water bars that are ok for trucks, not cars/SUV's. pedal the road in. about 2km mostly flat or downhill

you'll make the Frisby DH shuttle too. good rip. exit is not detailed on the RCA site but it comes out at the snowmobile parking area below Boulder Mtn. you pass it on the drive out along Westside Rd.

all the rest is pedal-able AM epic/local stuff mostly close to town
