Classic Canadian Rock
Me and the Mrs were treated to some classic Canadian rock this past Friday night in Mission. Randy Bachman played for a couple hours,

I'm argue that Canada has maybe the highest output of musicians (good and/or popular) per capita out of any country in the world in the last 40-odd years.

Saw them in around '78 I think, one of my first real concerts, they were awesome. Thought they were the greatest, then I saw Triumph... blew away everything I saw up to that point.

Was pretty impressed with Bachman this past weekend.. played for about 90 minutes, voice was spot on, did all his Guess Who and BTO stuff. I think that video was from a cell phone, you can imagine how friggin good the sound was at the show.

I have to agree, and I have the pleasure of knowing many of them personally and professionally. Only difference is we don't have the marketing machinery to pump them out and force them into the public domain like that of the States. In the States, Top40 nonsense and all the bullshit is one of the highest cranking industries, so it goes without saying exposure is more down there - but that doesn't equate into quality or longevity.

Military, Pharma and Entertainment are the Top3 industries in the USofA. Not so in Canada.
