I cracked rear chain stay on my v2 its beefy ,but the guys at On Top said they never seen that But somehow they found a replacement part in the back of the warehouse.I find the only thing on the frame that is a weak link are those shaft bolts on the center rocker the tiny 5 mm bolts snap in the shaft about twice a year. You always have to have extra shaft and cap bolts.
It took me 6 years to break my first gen scream ,But this version 2 model is by far can take the punishment .Im running a Rocco wc with a 700 pound spring got it in big travel setting, ill switch to 500 on the 7 inch setting. I prefer the long wheelbase position.
Big jimmy cracked his v2 but he is 260 lbs. There is a thread on pinkbike called show us your Screams. There is a group still very much enjoying this product, they are the hardcore.

Haha, I would sell it to ya, but the only reason I still have that gambler front triangle is because it's cracked... Haha sorry

My buddy just cracked his XL Delirium. Same story, no front triangles for crash replacement. Knolly offered him a Chilcotin for $1300. Not really the same type of bike.

I'd love to see this magical bike shop with the ability to tell if aluminum is cracked through paint

Yeah, I had one response from them asking for details, still waiting for the response when they tell me what is going to happen, I hope it's positve... I really wanna race hemlock, and still haven't had time for whistler yet this season....

I actually rode said cracked frame one last time(yesterday) for about 5 sec and had a fight with a tree, result was a dislocated pinky. It was actually hilarious cause I poped er back in my self. So obviously something is saying not to ride this frame anymore........ Durr :/

Screams make for quite the tank that's for sure. Not for weight weenies & may be a bit of a dinosaur, but they hold up.

This is true.

The Chilcotin is lighter, lower, said to be stronger and has nearly the same size geo. About the only real difference is the 0.4" less travel. To sum it is a far superior bike and will do anything that Delirium did.

Should've taken than Chilcotin.

Not sure where they are at. Personally, I would see what they would do on a Podium. He's a big dude and a pretty aggressive rider. Plus, this is mostly a shuttle ride.
We'll see what happens.
