The Olympic course?

Did you catch any of the womens mountain bike race this morning?
It looked like more of a legitimate course than the 2008 course.
The commentators complained about the features being man made, but so what.
I'm not going to talk about anyones performance, but I was delighted to see the bikes getting some air time off that gap ramp jump.
(Sorry I don't recall the name of all the stunts.)

I watched the live broadcast. Gotta admit, it was a great course for spectators and television cameras, and there were some good crashes. The mens should be good tomorrow!

PS - I hear the Spice Girls are playing the closing ceremony...

If you watched the mens race when it happened it would have been before the closing ceremonies.
Again not commenting on what country placed where, but noticed the full suspension bike won. Will everyone be second guessing their equipment choices?

He took the lead on the final climb because he's the stronger climber, he was leading the climbs the whole race.

It didn't look like the most fun course to ride but was great for spectators and tv.

I was fairly impressed with the course. Definitely made XC very watchable. Yes there were big sections of gravel track, but some of the man made technical bits kept things interesting.

Regarding equipment it just goes to show that it doesn't matter all that much. Full suspension, hardtail, 26", 650b and 29" all represented in the top 3. Any of them could have won. The only piece of equipment that made a difference was the seatpost/saddle that broke.

Great race.
