Post pics of your cruiser/fixie/urban bike/piece of crap

Every so often I think I'd enjoy a cheapish steel cruiser, 26" bmx or single-speed rigid mtb for riding with the kids and relaxed weekend style commuting/errands.

Pondering a surly 1x1 build maybe.

Post what you've got. Bonus points for vintage.

My Skull Skates cruiser (Frame No. 1 of 4 prototypes):

My 1952 Schwinn that is clearly at 'project' stage:

My '91 steel Rocky Mountain Vertex which is also incomplete. I could get nerdy about NOS Syncros hubs but this probably isn't the site

Not a Shiver SC, not Halson...

Dang I knew it was vintage but not that vintage.

You find that used somewhere or have you had it since new?

You need to do a thread of all the exotic weird bike stuff you've had.

Still have the Trimble? I think I saw that he is building them again.

Thanks. Well, I've joined their Facebook page and I think in this day and age that's all one needs to do. One isn't actually meant to ride these bikes surely? Joking aside, it gets plenty of Sea Wall usage in the summer with my wife.

I had a major boner for the Suspenders fork back in the day but had to settle for a 1st gen Answer Manitou with around 1 1/4" travel....and around 3" of torsional movement. Not that makes any sense, but you could put the brakes on pretty well by just steering hard....

It's a good time to get one. There is so much available out there now that 26" has taken over the fixed-gear freestyle world. The 1x1 had its heyday, but has long been superseded by more aggressive, cheaper, lighter options.

I've got an old early-90's Specialized Rockhopper with horizontal dropouts up in the attic awaiting a set of moustache bars and a Nitto Technomic. Should be able to have it rolling with scavenged parts for under $200.
