I've been noticing that as well.
Earlier this week I had to remove a large amount of sticks/logs/brush on a section of Danimal North. The person or persons felt that the trail should be the braid rather than the actual trail which leads you properly onto the bridge to access the rock roll.

that braid didn't really exist until this year. funny how people rode it properly for so long, but suddenly one slightly difficult move becomes unacceptable. probably related to all the people shuttling stonebridge this year, another thing that i thought i'd never see.

The bugs on the last steep bit to BE/Jaws were insane. Just straight swarmming. Flying into my face, mouth everywhere. to the point of it being really un-enjoyable.
bugs were bad there yesterday too, used a ton of bug spray and didn't seem to make them go away

fyi, Old Binty's....had a sweep through there last night, removed all round baseball bat sized 'logs' from trail, and gave the whole trail a slight trim back, got rid of the face whipper branches but still left it tight for the most part, still the rootiest tech/tight trail around, love the old school! It's on my list to ride tonight or tomorrow, it's pretty much in perfect condition after the last couple days of rain!

Thanks Clark, good to know.

Trail work on yummy numby has made it awesome. Loggin under the powerlines on foreplay. Grand wazoo is closed.
Rode stages 2,3,4. People complaining about lack of gnar should try rising those trails flat out and see how it changes them.

Flank is a serious death march though. Way worse than 27 switchbacks.

function flank? yeah she's a doozy! at least it's near the start this year, in the Jack's it was at the end and I've never seen so many shattered folk, including myself, as I did that day!

kashmir, kush, bc trail best descent in the valley, if only the khyber pass would link up somehow...

also a pity that bc trail is directly under RDS. its shitkicked compared to the others.

Scouted terrain above kashmir last year, would be a ton of work to connect the obvious gap

ton of work, very rewarding though. i guess alot of it would be soggy, damp stuff as well, and would get thoroughly chewed by dh bikes of the top of the world. maybe its better to leave kashmir alone as it is...

there's definitely a route through there, I've got access to lots of mapping data, but sounds like the builder of Kashmir is pretty against that idea, as much as I'd like to see it...a lot of it would depend on how the trail was built, definitely wouldn't want it to be DH bike friendly, make it traversey and climby in places, a la Khyber/Kashmir, and it could work well...

Does anyone know if you can ride the flank south from function to the callaghan then hook up with the trails there? Is it way easier to just get a ride out along 99 then climb that way?
I've only ever hiked a bike straight up U&A, but would like to make it a round trip.
