Indian River Road

Is this a good road ride? Was planning on taking a friend and while I am sure it will be scenic I am unsure about the condition of the road for the skinny tired rig.

its a nice ride. pretty much uphill then you descend into indian arm, turn around and it gets STEEEP (20%) and switch backs until you hit the high point and down to seymour. watch for local traffic and mtb shuttles on the road as it is narrow.

highly recommended though

Definitely a great ride, 250 m elevation at the water tower and lots of fun; the ride back is heinous though, hope you've got legs!

Which makes it perfect for hot days like today and yesterday. Can be a bit damp for a couple days after heavy rains.

Combine it with the demonstration forest for a full value outing.

Fun, steep, and often sheltered from the rain. Make sure you go to the end (pier).

The road itself is in pretty rough shape, so don't take your brand new $90 tires and don't run super high pressures.

Lots of hippies. If you leave them be you'll be fine.

Yes, it is. However, it depends on the weather condition. If it is a fine day, you can enjoy a nice trip. You can walk uphill.
