Vedder Shuttle Protocol

I'm planning on a trip to Vedder tomorrow but our crew only has one 4x4. I'm wondering if I should bring my KLR dual sport to shuttle or if it's easy to hitch a ride to retrieve.

Any advice?

Odd man out is the best way to shuttle vedder.

Odd man out for sure. If there's only two of you, then it takes about the same amount of time to do a shuttle/retrieval as it does to ride/walk up the road.

about an hour.... and not fun if it's blazing hot, i can tell you from experience
also to pedal, not the greatest. it's way steeper than fromme or bby for example, but doable.

Just a heads up if you've got a big group, we were there yesterday and 3 cop cars were up by the dirtbike parking area. We (and another truck behind us) had some guys in the bed of the truck, and got warning tickets. They also gave a ticket to some kids on dirt bikes, who didn't have insurance.

First time I've ever seen cops while shuttling a mtb mountain.

I've been on the Vedder Trails Association page for the map but it's a little cluttered and not very print friendly as the map names are all rollovers.

Is there a descent mountain bike specific map online somewhere?

Gutsploder.net has a satellite map & a topo map of Vedder. They may be a few years old, though.

Just take the dual sport. Dirtbike trails are ten or twenty times as long as mtb

nothing to see here

Vedder is not worth the hassle ,these trails are not what your looking for .If you see a guy in a black 2011 wrangler he may give you a lift up,locals are pretty friendly .If it was warmer you could do a den to the bottom of lake and jump in after.

Your Jedi mind tricks will not work on me.

Thanks to all the locals for showing us around. Some sick trails on Vedder. Had a total blast and hope to return the hospitality when some of you get over to Cypress.

Oh and don't forget the best part...

ROPE SWING!!!!!
