Voeckler is like a jet engine. Today anyway.

The GC race hasn't been very interesting this year. Rides like Voeckler's for stage wins and KOM have been more exciting.

Because Sky crushed everyone! I'm not even sure if Bertie would have been able to do anything either as I think Froome is probably the best climber in the world right now. Now watch Wiggo take em apart again on Saturday.

True, and impressive, but not so exciting.
There needs to be more dropped chains and stomachs "full of anger" wanting to take revenge! So what does Sky tell Froome to do on Saturday? Ride full out, or just hard enough to hold 2nd place? Given free reign, could he make up 2+ minutes on Wiggins in the TT? |

Froome might have made up a minute or two today but He'll probably loose a minute+ to Wiggo on Sat. Who knows what Froome would have done on another team. You could say the same about Indurain having Olano, JFB and Delgado towing him up the mountains to five tour wins.

I have a lot of respect for the way froome is riding and doing his job supporting wiggins, even though he could probably ride away from him. Hopefully he can recover and destroy everyone at the vuelta. |

As much as I like Phil ligget as "the voice of cycling", he is really off this year. He has mixed up so many riders and teams this year it's ridiculous.

Sherwin is hilarious.
"And it's Big George digging deep into his suitcase of courage in this, the sport of cycle racing - he's crouched low over his machine as he puts the hammer down and behind him there's the sound of metal grinding on tarmac as there's yet another massive pile-up..." Continue in the same vein for 4hrs.

agreed, phil is getting on in years. it will be a sad sad day in cycling when he retires the mic.
im sure he will sit at home and commentate the whole thing to his wife/grandkids when that happens... |

He'll receive 1500 Euros for that first place over the sprint point. That's about 1200 Pounds, or 4,500,000 Ugandan Shillings.
The commentating on the Giro from these two and Bobke make the Tour more enjoyable.

Not a huge Cav fan myself, but the sprint today was really nice.
