I talked to the logging operator yesterday. He estimated a few more weeks in the cut block at the top of Dogshit hill and then they will move to finish off the cut block at the bottom of B-Line. I would respect any current signage, but there is sometimes access via Dogshit hill (the normal route up) on weekdays now.

Was able to push up Dog Shit hill today. No machines running. (Holiday?) Some small branches at the top laying across the exit of the trail. Can easily be sawed thru with a pruning saw if someone has one. The loggers prolly laid them there to discourage people pushing up that way. Props to the builders. Despite all the logging going on up there, they have kept alot of trails accessible.

I'm thinking of heading out that way tomorrow morning.

Is pushing up Shotgun still the best way to go?

You shouldn't have to worry about any oncoming traffic in the morning and that's the way I've been going recently so it's probably a safe bet.

All trails are running nicely, dry and fast, so you won't go wrong whatever you choose to ride. And you don't have to push up Shotgun anymore if you don't want as the regular way up Dogshit Hill is open.

I was riding cabin trail the Friday and just past the cabin, there's a new trail down to the left. Where's it go? Is it a bike trail?

i rode it back in april. it's really fun - no stunts, you lose a lot of vert - but it shoots you out to where the towers are waaaaaay below where you would cross if you were on goldmine/cabin. buddy couldn't find a connecting trail across the hydro cut, so we hiked all the way back up to goldmine/cabin. do.not.recommend.

i would ride it again if i knew where the connecting trailhead is and where it comes out.
