rode bc trail this afternoon. climb from nordic snow free. little bit of snow as you approach the trailhead. only a bit of snow on the trail, rightin the runout where it bends hard left and steep (the place with wood steps in it, right before the creek crossing). other than that its in great shape. just greasy enough to keep you honest, but not a slop fest.

anyone heard about hey bud?

Saw tire tracks coming out the bottom of hey bud on my way out to Yummy on Saturday but didn't get up there myself. Let us know if you go!

was just about to say the same thing....as an aside, yummy numby is not pleasant when it's greasy out...here's hoping the talked about pre-charlie's angels trail work takes place to fix it up a bit, I'd be surprised if 15% of the girls could ride most of that....

That makes me feel a LOT better! I rode the course yesterday and calling Yummy Numby 'not pleasant' is a very PG description of what I saying about it. I rode it last year and found it challenging but fun, not so much anymore.

CN from YN to BC Bike Race cut off (Jeff's trail) via the Back Door is clear and super fun! It's still a bit soggy in places with a few patches of snow you can easily ride through. There is one tree down above a creek crossing right near the off-set log skinnies. You can walk your bike underneath it but it's too low to ride under.

First time down BC Bike Race descent / Jeff's trail - holy fun! The rock slab Charlie warned us about is butter smooth.

The new Sea to Sky trail back to Lost Lake has some amazing views, and some surprisingly steep climbs - but that's coming from someone who never rode Green Lake loop.

The words coming out of my mouth on the way up sure weren't of the PG variety.

Question for you, Mrs Gurstin (or others): How far up is Jeff's trail from the YM/CN juction? I haven't done that loop before and it sounds quite interesting. Thanks!

Yummy Numby was in the BC bike race last year? I heard most people just ran it...

Hopefully the S2S trail will have less steep climbs then GLL which had some nasty climbs and rough descents.

hey bud is nearly clear of snow, but quite muddy. if we get the forecast rain than it will soupy. i would find other places to ride for a bit i think til it dries out.

bike park was rad this afternoon. lots of new work in places that needed it. all the tech stuff is now nice and dry and almost everything is open lower mountain. good fucking times!

rode yummy numby yesterday, wish i hadnt. it was slow and momentum killing, and greasy as shit on the roots. TBH it really seems like an unfinished trail, or something from many years ago that has been abandoned. Maybe it rides ok in the dry, but this is Whistler not pemby and that side of the forest is probably always damp. I enjoyed the first section and probably the first half of the second section, but when we hit the real loam it was a shit show. It seems dumb to me that a newly built trail is already in need of a massive amount of work.

Aside from that foreplay was fun on the way down. Not looking forward to racing it in the 4K. i imagine i would want more tire protection there than in the park...

billy epic was in good shape this afternoon. lots of fun in the wet. then rode some of emerald forest just for fun. it was totally dry in places, very few soupy parts. would def recommend it right now for a flat xc...

Ya, YN is still challenging for sure, it is getting worked in in some places. It will take a lot of work to make it less frustrating for the b&v race...

Hope its dry...

the new sea to sky trail sure is better then GLL though!

Just split it.

One for WBP, the other for the trails not in the park.

rode kush, tunnel vision and big timber.
Kush needs some serious drying time. huge ruts - one of the moves at the end is pretty much unmakeable due to erosion next to a fallen log. I was shocked at how wet it still is in there. give it a miss if you were thinking about it.
TV was way more fun than i remembered. nearly ate shit on one of the wooden ladder bridges that a rung collapsed on.

even big timber had some pretty serious puddles. kinda shocked its so wet up there considering how dry the park is..
