I'm going to San Fran in October to try on pants at Beta Brands.

I hate buying and returning clothing online.

So my co-worker who commutes every day, bought the Levis for $100 at Musette. Judging by the fact he wears them every day I'd say he likes them. He's a small guy who rides 45 minutes each way. I don't know if they'd be good for a Clydesdale like myself though.

Cove Bikes sells skinny jeans alongside Troy Lee, Sombrio, Alpinestars DH/FR pants, if you ever want to free your inner semeniuk. As for me, I don't think they make skinny jeans for guys with 27" thighs.

Same here. I've sent my thigh measurements to "bike to work" clothing companies and even they've told me their pants won't fit.

Lululemon pants could distort time and space enough to make Sponge Bob Square Pant's ass curvey.

I tried on a pair of those Levi's supposedly designed for riding. Way too skinny for my legs. I found them too restrictive just standing. If you have skinny legs they might actually be pretty OK. Really though, leave a change of clothes at work. Is there a reason why this would not work? I have commuted by bike for 40 years and that was always the best option.

A couple of weeks ago I sprung for the Clydsedale pants from MEC. I like'em. My only minor complaint is the front pockets are a little shallow. They handle rain well, are very comfortable, plus they make my ass look exquisite.

Not bad. Similar to the Merrell pants that I can't find in a 30" waist for the life of me. Looking for a pair of pants that aren't cotton and don't look über gay for long walks along the beach looking for surf

I like the Levi's. Couldn't find them in the Levi's store in DT Vic though

Not sure why the commuting crowd wouldn't just wear the nerdy cycling attire and keep the work clothes in a drybag or get a backpack. My dad has been commuting by bike for almost as long as Oldfart and he says he'd rather arrive at home comfortable and alive rather than fashionable and dead!

Shallow pockets are a deal breaker. I found a sweet pair of mountain hardware shorts but they had pocket like my fiancé jeans. So sad.
